Currently with INCYT, I am a UI/UX Designer in title who manages the platform's design system. On the side, I do freelance work to collaborate with companies in turning awesome ideas into products that my grandma would like to use. In my spare time, I'm just a normal otaku that enjoys anime. If that sounds interesting, hit me up with a hello!

2021 - Today

INCYT

🡥

Being the very first product designer in the fold, I was by my lonesome for a bit before eventually leading my own team. During my time alone, I spearheaded the design system, initially as a small little component library. This project somehow grew tenfold and is now what made INCYT's interface what it is for our end-users. Along with this is the establishment of a proper design process for the product team, taking inspiration from the Double Diamond approach and Lean UX methodologies.

As the team expanded, my role evolved. Today, I orchestrate seamless handoffs, lead impactful design sprints, and dived deeper into UX data analysis. I champion documentation while guiding my team towards an efficient design process, upholding the INCYT design standards.

Essentially serving as the linchpin, connecting engineers, researchers, analysts, stakeholders, and product managers throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial discovery to feature launch.

Main Contributions & Achievements:

  • 85% of the applications within the INCYT platform (i.e. Weather Monitoring, Spray Advisory, Soil Moisture Monitoring etc.) which helps our userbase in making informed decisions for their farms.
  • Principal Product Designer for INCYT Sharing features, Fleet features, QR features, and Cosmo AI.
  • Improved on INCYT's onboarding flow, Map view features, Note features, Filtering system, and achieving overall consistency for the platform's information architecture.

Studio Friday

🡥

Nestled in the scenic Illawarra region of Australia, a bespoke design studio, the brainchild of Jake and Lara, caught my eye.  They were looking for a resident Webflow developer, and I jumped at the chance.  I was drawn to their process and saw it as the perfect environment to hone my Webflow skills and push my boundaries.

My journey began as an independent contractor, but the trust we built quickly blossomed into a thriving business relationship.  Now, I'm one of their go-to Webflow experts, translating Figma designs into fully functional websites. Following the Finsweet Client-First approach ensures a clean, maintainable build, but I don't stop there. I love adding my own creative flair through subtle interactions, smooth animations (both Webflow native and custom coded), and thoughtful touches that elevate the final product.

Main Contributions & Achievements:

  • As the lead Webflow developer since July 2024, I've worked on projects designed to maximize website conversions under Studio Friday. You may check some of these on the studio's website.
  • I'm balancing the redesign of the Studio Friday website with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the current site, including project additions and conversion optimization.
  • Ongoing website maintenance and support for the each client.
  • Increased understanding in website migrations, setting up each project better for client customizations, and API integrations.

Oddit

🡥

Oddit being an ad agency that brings a fresh perspective on the customer journey. They had one goal in mind to simplify experiences, and it's to get users to end goal faster! Naturally this attracted more clients to their door and eventually expanded their team.

I came in as one of their freelance UI/UX Designers, primarily helping out on landing page designs and design rationales with conversion rate optimization in mind.

Main Contributions & Achievements:

  • One of the designers attached to the brand's very own design system project which streamlined their processes and consistency in outputs by making reusable components and design tokens.
  • Acquired more knowledge in terms of conversion focused design and how to use visual cues effectively in helping users take action in the context of the e-commerce space.
  • Enhanced my writing abilities, especially for design rationales and proposal documentations for each client I get assigned to.
  • Gained a level up or two in Figma expertise because of my time with their talented team and some improvements to my fast-paced environment adaptability buffs.

AWAKO

🡥

AWAKO is a logistics company setting out to solve day-to-day operational challenges by developing a world-class product with cutting-edge AI technology. Under the Pixel True, I had the privilege of being part of their marketing and product team as one of their UX/UI Consultants.

As a part of the core team trying to build out the platform's UI and MVP prototypes, I'm primarily utilized for analysis of research data provided by AWAKO's in-field researchers and turning those into functional features and ideas from organized design sprints lead by our Product Lead.

Being a contractor though, I was only on board the ship for a short time and didn't really saw whether these solutions that our design sprints provided actually brought value to AWAKO's targeted users.

Main Contributions & Achievements:

  • Spearheaded the first iteration of AWAKO's component library in Figma for the next set of contractors.
  • Part of the team that determined how the brand would communicate to their targeted consumers (marketing and product parity) through organized design sprints.
  • Understood which team members should be part of the sprints during the Discovery and Defining stages achieving one agreed goal in mind.
  • Developed an interest in documentations and project management during my short period with their talented team.
